We all love deep powder—the kind that makes any slight incline seem insurmountable unless you have big horsepower and unreal track speed. But those days come seldom during the winter … and usually are escorted with grey skies and poor visibility.
But what about those days when you have about a foot of fresh snow resting on a solid base? On these days you can go just about anywhere … which sometimes make the high horsepower sleds less fun since there is no real challenge in picking lines.
These are 600 days—the kind that if you’re riding a smaller horsepower sled, you can go full-throttle most of the time, yet maintain a reasonable ground speed to allow your imagination to pick unique lines through the trees.
What we mean about “600 days” is these are the days where a 600 cc snowmobile is much more enjoyable to ride than the bigger sleds. For those who have experienced 600 day rides, you know what we mean. And there are a lot more “600 days” than deep powder days available every winter.
Below are a couple of videos that demonstrate a 600-day experience.
