Chaincase – Now is the time to check the drive chain tension. On a new machine this is probably set right and it will give you an idea to base your further checks on. If your sled is used then you may need to adjust it right away. The easiest way is to take off the left door and CVT cover, then grab the secondary and move it forward and back. There should be a slight movement but anything more than 1.5-2 cm you will need to tighten your chain. This is easy to do with the clutch tool on the right side in behind the chaincase. A total of 1-3 turns is all you should need. After you tighten it, it should be finger tight. Check again and then after every 3-5 rides as it only takes a couple of minutes and will ensure your sled runs properly.
