7—Arctic Cat M 6000 SE ES 153
You know I would have to have Cat’s 600 on my list. It is the most affordable snowmobile to make my list, but that doesn’t mean it lacks any of the premium features found on other Cat models. Its quick-revving C-Tec2 powerplant is straight from the race track so you know this model performs well under pressure. The 2.6-inch track hooks up hard. The 2019 model comes on the Ascender Platform so it will carve through the powder and hold sidehills much better than past models. Retail: $11.399.
8—Polaris 800 RMK Assault 155
Even though the 850s have pushed the 800s down my list, if I’m looking for a snowmobile that loves to hit big jumps and hard bumps, there’s no better way to attack the terrain than with the Assault. I prefer the 2.6-inch track on this model because it just seems to work great in all snow conditions. It rides lighter than it is (again, you pay in weight when you go to performance suspensions). Its power just seems to explode so you better have a good grip on the bars. Retail: $13,499.
