As the sun continued to shine down, the covered pavilion became packed full with sleds while the display field was covered in some of the finest show machines in the north woods and surrounding states. Guest judges had 17 classes of sleds to comb over, including specialty classes like Best of Show, Best Overall Display, Custom and Non Snowmobile Manufacturer for other products built by snowmobile manufacturers. As last year, the show has also invited classic sled models by opening up the 1981+ restored and original classes up to 1996 model years. During the awards ceremony, a vintage 1986 Yamaha V-Max – donated by Jon Bertolino – was raffled off. Next year’s vintage raffle machine will be a 1981 Ski-Doo Blizzard 7500 which will be on display at the SHOF and select events throughout the year.
There is nearly something for every sled-head to enjoy at this weekend event, from the cookout, show, swap, celebrity sightings and visiting old friends. Even record setting temps can’t cool the enthusiasm of these dedicated show goers. The Board of Directors was pleased to again welcome back Arctic Cat as the title sponsor, and hopes to see you there next May 26th, 2019. Please visit
