Two Out Of Three Ain’t Bad

March 2018 Feature Web Exclusive

Day two of our adventure in the mountains around Libby, MT, was most everything the first day was … minus the sun. Still lots of snow and plenty of mountains draped in snow so two out of three ain’t bad.

Our second day’s adventure was in the Quartz Mountain area, basically a ridge or two over from where we rode the day before.

Local Arctic Cat/Textron dealership owner Brian Gilmore and Ski-Doo dealership owner Andy Remp took on the task of showing us the Quartz Mountain area, which included making our way up to the fire lookout on Quartz Mountain. Remp did an amazing job of leading us up to the tower, which was shrouded in a cloud. In fact, we didn’t know we were there until we were actually right next to it.

The snow was great once again and despite riding in a cloud much of the ride, it did clear off toward the end of our ride, affording us some great views of the valleys below.

A big shout out to Montana’s Glacier Country (www.glaciermt.com) and Libby Chamber of Commerce (www.libbychamber.org) for helping set our adventure up for us.
