SKIS
1) Polaris. The Gripper is the most functional OEM ski. It offers good flotation (being about one-quarter-inch wider than the competition) and has traction on the top side … which comes in handy when you’re stopped in deep snow and need to get around the front of your sled. The Gripper has a user-friendly ski loop for tugging on the ski and also tends to work the best to stay on top of the snow when you’re in reverse.
2) Ski-Doo. The Pilot DS 3 skis offer the deepest keel which tends to perform best in powder. This is a solid ski that works well in all conditions.
3) Arctic Cat. The ProClimb ski may win the award for being the most stylish … but it falls short in being the most practical. It tends to cut into the snow rather than climb up on top of it. The ski loop is the most uncomfortable to use and the hook on the end is notorious for tripping you when walking around the front of the sled.
