Three Versions
The Titan comes in three different versions: Titan SP, Titan XC and Titan Adventure. Our seat time was split between the XC (more features than the SP, very off-trail capable) and Adventure (all the bells and whistles). Our first experience on the Titan was in northern Minnesota where we dialed up more than 230 miles over two days of riding. Our second experience was in the mountains around West Yellowstone in some of the deepest snow of the season. Two very different experiences to learn the capabilities of the Titan.
The northern Minnesota experience included a 130-mile trek from Roseau to Warroad on a mixture of ditches, tight, twisty trails and powerline trails, the latter of which were more open and allowed for some off-trail bushwhacking. Day two of the ride found us leaving Warroad, dropping onto a very frozen Lake of the Woods and riding for dozens of miles on a windswept lake. The air temperature was minus 20 degrees F when we left the hotel and headed for the Northwest Angle of Minnesota where we went ice fishing (in a heated fish house, thank heavens) near Oak Island. After a great day of fishing we headed back to Roseau, again in the bitter cold.
