Power

Arctic Cats have always been known for making good reliable horsepower. The folks at SLP were excited to get their hands on this power plant and show us what they can make a Naturally Aspirated engine do. To bump up the power levels and get the power band to their liking they opted for their Stage 3 kit which consists of a Power Commander V with SLP pre programmed Mapping, Single Pipe setup, custom porting on the cylinders, SLP’s own High flow intake kit, and dialed in clutching components to put the power to the ground. This kit delivers an additional 14.6 horsepower and reduces weight by over 20.8 lbs. We noticed a vast improvement in bottom end snap and midrange torque. The sled now has a snappy power band that feels like a snow cross sled, it’s so responsive. While riding in the trees you can just stab the throttle and the sled comes alive and launches it’s skis off the ground. You better be holding on and ready when you put that throttle to the bar.
