In Harmony

The 850 E-Tec was designed in harmony with the pDrive clutch to convert power output throughout the drive train. The pDrive is a quick-reacting clutch designed to hold rpm to maintain peak power. The pDrive clutch features adjustment clickers to make it easy to adjust in changing elevations to maintain optimum rpm. It is also perfectly matched with the QRS driven clutch so the power flows smoothly throughout the drive train.

But the Freeride isn’t only based on the performance that is generated by power, but by performance generated by the platform. We’ve mentioned the Rev Gen4 platform several times, but really haven’t gone into detail on why it works.

The Gen4 was designed around the rider and his needs. It is a pyramidal-style chassis that minimizes weight while maximizing strength. The Gen4 is narrow to eliminate the bulkiness in deep powder. Its tunnel taper is designed to fit a rider and provide room for you to go from side-to-side quickly. It centralizes the weight to deliver greater agility. And best of all, it is 25 lbs. lighter than the Rev-XM platform.
