In simple terms, the Freeride 154 has the DNA match of the Summit but with stronger rails, reinforced running boards and a premium shock package. Its shocks feature stronger springs and stiffer valving to for those who enjoy the big drops. However, the tradeoff to having a beefier suspension comes with making it just a little stiffer to roll into a sidehill.
On the other hand, the Freeride 154 S-38 is just a better mountain version of the Freeride 137 and 146 that tend to evolve from the crossover segment of the market.
