Q: My 2006 F7 EFI has a dead spot at 3,800 to 4,200 rpm. Now it acts like it’s fouling plugs and won’t run well at full throttle.

A: There are a great many things that could be causing this sort of symptom. I’d suggest you start with a couple basic mechanical troubleshooting steps. Start by checking your engine compression to ensure nothing’s gone awry internally. If that checks out, try replacing the plugs and refilling with fresh fuel. Again, very basic steps, but they may just cure your issue at an inexpensive cost.
