New Tune!
Yamaha’s new Tuner 3 ski has a removable ski loop (so you can make your own color combos, or replace if broken). It also has a narrower nose to the ski and a new ski-bolt location (the location of the carbide stud-bolts didn’t change, so you can use the same carbides you used for the old ski).
Change on the Fly!
I know some disagree, but I feel a big upside to the new iTC engine mode system is that you don’t have to come to a complete stop to change modes. In the larger 4-TEC application (not smaller 600 and 900 ACE engines), the mode changes and performance associated with them are more pronounced, so you have to be “ready for it.” Going from Sport to Eco is a big difference! But for the majority of riders, changing on the fly is a good thing!
It’s Electric!
The electronic oil pump on Arctic Cat’s C-TEC2 600cc twin 2-stroke liquid motor meters fuel/oil ratios by RPM and altitude. For comparison, our Arctic Cat 2014 El Tigre 6000 (first year of this motor) got 14.2 mpg for a season average. That same year, our Arctic Cat ZR 7000 4-stroke got 13.19 mpg for a season average.
