When a belt disintegrates on the trail, there will always be a joke made about the amount of time you spent “fixing your belt” or “shaving your knuckles” or “learning what a clutch is.” But on any sled, there are always tricks and tips for changing a belt quickly, efficiently and without ruining your day of incredible riding.
Here’s a quick guide for changing a belt from each snowmobile manufacturer with their current stock clutching on current engines and in current chassis.
