These sleds came in a dark red automotive metallic finish with the hood fastened to the tunnel. A 4.0-gallon fuel tank was mounted under the hood and way forward. Most sleds of this time had fuel tanks that were made as part of the tunnels and therefore were hard to get at to clean. Ski-Bee’s fuel tanks were strapped on top of the tunnels though, which made them a lot easier to clean. To help a rider get at the fuel tanks, the company made a long hood scoop with hinges at the rear for easy servicing.

These sleds’ handlebars were quite comfortable with a nice shape and there was a large rear storage compartment with a backrest standard. Yet Ski-Bees didn’t have a very thick seat, only about 2 or 3 inches thick and 16 inches wide by 30 inches long. However, we would kneel on the seat a lot in those days though!

Ski-Bees had a strong chrome front bumper that you could easily grab if ever you got stuck, pretty common in those days. To make A Ski-Bee more desirable you could buy a deluxe wheel kit for summer use, too. The machine came with four wheels equipped with oversized tires for smooth high-speed performance for operating on all terrains.

Ski-Bee … “Your best buy for years of trouble-free performance!”
