Helix help
Q What is a good helix to use for a Ski-Doo secondary clutch on an 800 Pro Stock triple in the CK3 chassis? I have the Ski-Doo roller secondary with 43/22 gearing and the TRA primary with 280 ramps notched. I was using a Polaris secondary with a 45/32 helix. I have a 136 x 13.5-inch track and the secondary is off an MXZx 440 Formula. Any suggestions? – snow-doo

A If it’s the Formula roller, I would not stray much from 40 to 44 degrees with a preload between 20-25 lbs. The rollers in those things are not that durable. If you need to have a roller secondary, try the HPV roller from a 2006 REV X package or any of the Mach Z twins and run the same. You could try a 42/40 helix as they have a larger diameter helix and support the belt better. The Cat secondary is a main staple for your set up and helixes are cheap. – Dyna-tek racing
