The Red Bull Fuel+Fury Freestyle competition started with 16 competitors, but 4 broken backs, a broken leg and a broken foot later, the competition was down to 5. 20-year-old Jason Semler from Palmer broke his back in 6 places while competing for the ultimate big-air snowmobile video. Doctors had to put him back together.
Are people taking more risks? Or are they just crazy? Perhaps it's just that there are more fairly sane people who could be tempted into insane behavior by challenges to their ego or offers to their pocketbook.
