yamaha motor co finds russia an ideal snowmobile market

Amsnow
When most people think of Russia they imagine the bitterly cold, gray winters with brisk wind whipping the snow around people in warm fur hats. To an ordinary person, this climate doesn't sound pleasant. But to the snowmobile enthusiast, including those at Yamaha Motor Co. (YMC), this is the perfect weather for sledding.

YMC's Overseas Market Development Operations (OMDO) traveled to the Bolen Resort ski area outside of Moscow last February to organize a full-scale press event to introduce the 2004 Yamaha sleds. The event was divided into a press day, a distributor day and a dealer day, and gave the press and industry representatives a chance to get to know the Yamaha snowmobiles and their performance levels through production explanations and test rides.

The VK540III and BR250T utility sleds, and the RX1ER and RXWarrior sport snowmobiles were available for test rides at the event.

The Russian snowmobile market is growing rapidly, and YMC is prepared to bring their product and new technology to the area. They expect significant growth in sales in the Russian snow belt to continue throughout the coming years.
