x games move to aspen

Amsnow
Although not an official points race, WSA will continue as sport organizer for Snocross and Hillcross events at ESPN's Winter X Games, which return to Colorado's legendary Aspen ski area from January 17-20, 2001.

The Snocross battle will feature the WSA's Pro Open class sleds piloted by the best 'crossers from around the globe, all gunning to dethrone reigning Gold Medallist and multiple SWC class champ Blair Morgan.

A rule change for Hillcross sees the minimum weight drop to under 400 pounds with a maximum engine size of 1000cc, ensuring the most radical of machines (and usually rider as well) will show to beat last year's first ever Hillcross Gold medal winner Karl Kuster.
