A grand opening for the new Wisconsin Travel Information Center was held last Thursday at its location on the first floor of the Mall of America in Bloomington, Minnesota.
Wisconsin Governor, Tommy Thompson was there for the ribbon-cutting at the center.
"Our presence in the mall is sure to increase the number of Minnesota, Midwest and international travelers to Wisconsin and boost our visibility as a top tourist destination," said Moose Speros, Wisconsin Department of Tourism Secretary.
According to the Mall of America, more than 42 million people visited the Mall last year, making it the busiest attraction in the United States. It will feature Wisconsin travel information, highway maps, publications and destination, event and attraction brochures.
The travel center is open 10am to 9:30pm Monday-Friday; 9:30am to 9:30pm on Saturdays; and 11am to 7pm on Sundays.
