"The Pines," in Island Park, Idaho, grants some of the best modern-era rustic log cabin living we have ever experienced. The Pines presents a lodging experience nestled in the snow-capped Rocky Mountains, within the Targhee National Forest, and minutes away from beautiful Yellowstone National Park, and it provides the perfect place to relax and relish your snowmobiling vacation. Each luxury cabin offers generous amenities.
Each log cabin comes in various sizes. The first is a 1-bedroom cabin that accommodates 4 individuals. This cabin has:
• A private bedroom with queen-sized bed
• An open loft with a queen bed
• A full bath with separate vanity
• A small kitchenette with sink, microwave, refrigerator, toaster and coffee maker
• Satellite TV with small sitting area
• Private hot tub
• BBQ grill on patio
The 2-bedroom cabin will accommodate 8 individuals and has:
• Two private bedrooms on main floor with queen-sized beds
• Full bath with washer and dryer
• Large kitchen (service for up to 12) with oven, sink, microwave, refrigerator, toaster, coffee maker and dishwasher
• Living room dining area with seating for 8
• Satellite TV
• Gas fireplace
• Private hot tub
• BBQ grill on patio
• Open loft with two additional queen-sized beds and a three quarter-sized bathroom in the open loft
The 3-bedroom cabin has all the same amenities as the 2-bedroom cabin, however, the loft is partially walled up to create a third master suite bedroom that has a king bed, private jetted tub, fireplace and TV. Additionally, a three quarter-sized bathroom and an additional queen-sized bed reside on the loft's open extension.
Adjacent to The Pines is a quaint restaurant, The Lodgepole Grill with a full bar and large beer and wine list.
The Pines and The Lodgepole Grill are located on the west side of Phillips Loop Road. Phillips Loop Road is on the east side of Idaho Highway 20 and is about a half-mile north of historic Ponds Lodge and south of the Elk Creek service station.
AmSnow's 3-day stay at The Pines was sweet, comfortable and truly Western-esq. The large and spacious parking lots provided ample room to park our three- and five-place trailers, and trucks.
