The National Speed Association Pro Stock Asphalt Sled series has a brand new points program for 2008 NSA asphalt racers. In light of the ever-changing economy, Dave Wahl of Wahl Bros Racing has created a program for NSA racers who might not be able to attend all 6 NSA points events.
Wahl Racing will be sponsoring the "Wahl Bros Racing Asphalt Challenge" series this season, which will be a separate points series within the 2008 NSA Championship Points program. The Wahl Racing Asphalt Challenge Points Series will be comprised of the following three NSA events:
June 28 - Maple Grove Raceway, Mohnton, Pa.
July 12 - New England Dragway, Epping, N.H.
August 16 - Maryland Int'l Raceway, Mechanicsville, Md.
NSA will track a separate points system for these 3 events and the top four places in this points series will be paid out after the Maryland race as follows:
1st - $800
2nd - $400
3rd - $150
4th - $150
The first place finisher in the Wahl Bros. Racing Asphalt Challenge series will also receive a Limited Edition Wahl Racing trophy. Each racer must be a member of NSA to compete in the Wahl Challenge series, but no extra membership fees or additional entry fees will be required. A special thank you goes out to Dave Wahl and Wahl Bros Racing on their continued support of the NSA Asphalt series.
