The 1999 Winter X-Games snocross Champion from Colchester, Vermont will join the Yamaha Factory Snocross Team for the 2002 snocross season. Vincent originally paired with Yamaha during the 1996-1997 race season that saw Vincent capture the WSA Pro 600 season championship.
"During testing Chris looked fit, fast and focused. I believe he's out to prove something this year. We expect him to be a factor up front at every race," said race team manager Chad Johnson. Johnson added that Vincent has been training hard during the off-season.
According to Vincent, "Last year was pretty tough for me both personally and professionally. It feels great to have the Factory Yamaha guys behind me. This is the fresh start that I need."
Vincent will be riding a race-modified version of the new Yamaha SXViper and will be paired with teammate and fan favorite Yuji Nakazawa from Japan.
