The USCC Mille Lacs 300 took place in Garrison, Minn., this last weekend, Feb. 10-11, 2007. Corey Davidson scored 2-1 finishes in the two-race format to take the Pro-Open overall win with his leg still in a cast from a motorcross accident in Dec. He was riding his Davidson Racing Apex RTX.
Travis Hjelle won both legs of the Semi-Pro Open event, coming in first by a matter of 2 seconds after 40 miles of racing. In addition, he scored third overall in Pro Stock on a second Apex, also with 5-3 finishes.
Apex sleds scored well in the amateur ranks as Tim Sargent won the Masters 40+ and finished third in Vet 30+. Colin Chapman placed second in Amateur.
"Besides the awesome power, it [Apex] has great engine braking when you're backing out of it going into the corners," said Davidson of the Apex.
