Arctic Cat's Race Director Russ Ebert is happy to have signed Tucker Hibbert again this year to Cat's snocross team. Hibbert will spend 6 snocross races next year - starting with the Amsoil Duluth National on Nov. 23rd - aboard Arctic's new Sno Pro 600 race sled. Cat's new race machine will be seen carrying Hibbert through 5 WPSA national events followed up by a battle of the big names at ESPN's winter X games. Hibbert puts a large amount of his racing efforts into competitively racing the AMA Supercross Lites East Coast circuit, which is why, for the second year, he will only compete at 6 snocross events.
"I consider this past year the most successful of my career in snocross, supercross and motocross. Racing year-round and competing at the highest level in two sports keeps me competitive and on top of my mental game. I'm confident and hopeful that I can start this new snocross season right where I left off, on top," Hibbert said.
After a few years on hiatus, Hibbert came back to Cat's race barn last season. In an effort to prove the naysayers wrong, Hibbert won 4 WPSA pro races in the 2006-2007 season - bumping him up to 29 total WPSA pro wins - and he took gold at the Winter X games. Hibbert's father will again be his crew chief, and along with mechanic Paul Engelstad, the Hibberts will run their own team. Cat has allowed Hibbert to stay relatively independent as far as sponsors go, so you won't necessarily see Arctic Cat plastered all over every inch of Tucker's sled and gear.
