Escape!
The engineer's dream, the Vertical Escape is more exotic than the Vertical Edge in these areas.
• New profile seat that is lighter, taller and narrower than the standard and Vertical Edge RMKs
• Non-adjustable light weight trailing arms - ski width remains as factory shipped
• Lightweight and hollow chromoly torsion bar
• Redesigned rear torque arm that uses an aluminum cross shaft
• Pro-X style chaincase and dual-caliper lightweight brake
• Hollow jackshaft from Polaris' race sleds
• Lightweight bogie and idler wheels (the fancy designer color plates are gone)
• Lightweight front close off cooler
• Lightweight chromoly steering post with adjustable steering block
• Team Industries' Rapid Reaction driven clutch
• Shock package for the IFS is from the 2002 Pro-X 600 with seven com pression adjustments, by use of dial.
• Clear fuel cell with removable wrapping
• Polaris Electric Reverse (standard)
• DET (detonation protection system)
Overall, this sled is 28 pounds lighter than an '02 RMK Vertical Edge 800 156 and is 18 pounds lighter than an '03 800 Vertical Edge 159.
Riding the Edge RMKs, regardless of configuration, spells out why this series of mountain sleds dominates hillclimb circuits and holds on as the dominant market share mountain sled. The RMKs' agility in the snow delivers an understanding to riders as to why it leads. The RMKs' properly positioned handlebar, serrated edge running boards- narrow boards to prevent the vehicle from hanging up- ski and track lengths, and patterns positions this sled to remain the market share leader.
Lastly, in our view, the RMK line will continue as the mountain sales leader and will define 151- and 159-inch power.
