Ski-Doo's new Mach Z and Summit 1000s are on their way to dealers, despite a potential part failure found in preliminary testing.
After many months of waiting in the living room with your helmet and boots on, you should be able to see a new Mach Z or Summit 1000 at dealerships soon. Shipping was temporarily held up in mid-November, but was started again about a week later.
Ski-Doo reports that during a normal quality assurance check at the factory in Valcourt, Quebec, a potential part failure was found on the RT platform.
Shipments were delayed so Ski-Doo could do more testing to determine the cause and extent of the failure. Turns out that the problem was simply an isolated part failure, not a broad concern with the model.
However, during the continued testing, Ski-Doo found that a radiator hose was not routed correctly and has rectified that problem on all sleds still being made and shipped from Valcourt. In addition, the company has advised dealers how to make the simple modification on the hose on sleds that already had been shipped.
