CNN.com has reported a lawsuit filed by some environmental groups regarding alleged noise and pollution caused by snowmobiles in Yellowstone National Park.

The lawsuit is encouraging park officials to look at the different ways snowmobiles affect the park.

Snowmobiling in Yellowstone is a great way to see the park and gets you to places that aren't otherwise accessible during the wintertime. Aside from cross-country skiing, snowshoeing and riding in a snow coach- snowmobiling is it for winter park transportation.

And, having snowmobilers in the area helps smaller cities thrive throughout winter.
