A leading snowboard team, "The Collection," has signed Yamaha as a corporate sponsor for the '05-'06 season.
The group includes such widely known boarders as Ross Powers, Andy Finch, Kelly Clark, Gretchen Bleiler, and Luke Mitrani.
By partnering with The Collection Yamaha says it is showing its commitment to winter sports and it also hopes to gain high-profile exposure as some of these athletes compete in the 2006 Winter Olympics.
Rob Powers, Yamaha's snowmobile marketing manager, said, "We are excited to partner with The Collection, the premier snowboard team in the industry. Backcountry snowboarding is increasing in popularity and snowmobiles are growing as a means to get to the killer terrain. Then they discover how awesome snowmobiling can be, especially with the new Yamaha Apex Mountain."
