Learning is key!
The ITC allows the adaption of a concept used in Sea-Doo watercraft, a “learning key” that limits the performance of the snowmobile if it is necessary, such as in training novices or used as a speed-limiter on rental sleds. The learning key is a special coded tether key on a green cord. It is programmed by the dealer at either 45 mph or 25 mph. The modes are still active, but the snowmobile will always be limited to the programmed speed limit.
Ski-Doo is trying to please a wide range of users with the 900. This has captured the attention of the macho hot dogs with the fun factor of this 90 hp engine. Finally we may have a 4-stroke sled with a “sweet spot” that will appeal to a broad market segment.
