super sledboggona

Amsnow
The Boggona was manufactured in St. Boniface, Manitoba, during the early 1960s by General Machine & Welding Ltd. It was offered in two models. The Super was the larger of the two and more suited to commercial use. The Pony was a lighter weight model that appealed to both the utility and sports markets.

Described as "economical and dependable" winter transportation,
the Boggona was constructed of unitized tubular and sheet steel. Both, the body and skis were spring suspended, but the thick foam rubber seat probably had more to do with the "smoother" ride.

The wrap-around windshield boasted 576 square inches of viewing surface
and was made of a durable clear plastic framed in a steel tubing.

Both models seated two adults and were touted as having a high towing
capacity. The standard finish was two-tone cream and orange enamel. Shown here astride his restored Super is John Livingston of Regina, Saskatchewan.
