Stud Boy has agreed to be the official traction product sponsor of this year's Port-A-Tree Shoot-Out, presented by American Snowmobiler Magazine.
As the official sponsor, all stock sleds will be equipped with a set of Stud Boy Power Point carbide trail studs.
"We have been working with Ron Pattyn and his team at Liberty Products and its Stud Boy brand for the past seven Shoot-Outs," commented American Snowmobiler Executive Editor Wade West. "In that time, our participating dealers have had nothing but positive comments about the Stud Boy products we've had them install on select sleds. We're very pleased to have Liberty Products onboard as a full sponsor this year. By having the same studs in all sleds, I think it gives our test session even more consistency and a level playing field."
Stud Boy's Power Point studs are the same traction products used by consumers on the trail. These are not race studs with chisel faces. They feature a 60-degree carbide tip and a tapered shank for reliable hookup with maximum rigidity.
"We are glad to be involved with the Shoot-Out again this season," commented Ron Pattyn from Stud Boy. "It's one of the most anticipated and respected events of the year. Not often do you see spectators lined up at the fence with pen and paper in their hands writing down ETs and speeds. Each and every one of them is hoping that the new sled they purchased is going to shine in Old Forge giving them bragging rights."
