This is the second time that the American Council of Snowmobile Associations (ACSA) has organized a group trip to Washington, DC. The trip is scheduled for this Monday and Tuesday, March 19-20, 2001.
March 20 will be the "official" day of Congressional visits. We hope to have snowmobilers from all 27 states in Washington, DC meeting with Senators and Representatives simultaneously, said Christine Jourdain, Executive Director, American Council of Snowmobile Associations.
"Representatives from many of the snowmobile states will be discussing public land access, including the proposed snowmobiling ban from National Parks, Forest Service Planning Regulations, Forest Service Roadless Areas, environment, new technology, etc. We will also have speakers from the Forest Service, BLM, and perhaps the Park Service to hear what their plans are. We will possibly have a visit from Vice President Cheney."
If you would like to join the ASCA group on Monday and Tuesday, March 19 and March 20 in Washington, DC, call the ACSA for information.
