Last March 15, Polaris founder Edgar Hetteen, re-enacted his historic ride across Alaska. On the first trip in 1960, he rode a Polaris Sno-Traveler. This time he opted to ride on a Polaris 550 Sport Touring.
Hetteen's Sport Touring was awarded in a drawing to Maurice Schultz in Alaska. Maurice and Lisa Schultz have a lot of experience with snowmobiles, turns out they were married on a Polaris sled.
Company pioneer David Johnson, was another rider on the trip. His sled was awarded to Mark DeLoach in a separate drawing- also in Alaska.
