August 27,2004 Slednecks announced today the members of the 2004-05 Outerwear team. The Sledneck team includes freestylers, freeriders and racers.
For freestyle, Slednecks has added Kourtney Hungerford of West Yellowstone, Mont., and Lee Stuart of Eastern Canada to their existing team of Ryan Britt (Valdez, Alaska) and Chris Burandt (Kremmling, Colo.).
"We are very excited to have such fine athletes coming together to create a team with tremendous knowledge and skill in our sport. These riders have set their goals high for this season and have again set out to raise the bar in freestyle snowmobiling,' said Jason Fischer, Slednecks team manager.
In addition, the "Canadian Big Mountain Team" of Rob Alford, BJ Murray and Geoff Kyle will stay with Slednecks this season.
Also new to the team this year are free riders and competitive hill climbers Ty and Shad Free from Bozeman, Mont., and Jackson, Wyo., respectively. Because of a special deal, "both will continue to comply with their Arctic Cat factory ride and compete in Arctic Cat clothing with Slednecks patches during their official hill climb competitions but will freeride and film wearing Slednecks Outerwear," according to a press release.
Slednecks also has signed Nick Olzenak, Sebastian Landry, Giles Landry, Dane Ferguson, Seth Wells, Dan Phillips and Jason Semler, all from Alaska.
For racing, the company has added Ryan Duncan (Milaca, Minn.), Esther Keim (Wasilla, Alaska) and Ashley Chaffin (Valdez, Alaska).
"We're excited to have these riders represent us in WSA events. We've always respected the commitment, athleticism and endurance of racers and are looking to expand in this market. Ryan, Esther and Ashley will help open the door and eyes of fellow racers nationwide," said Slednecks co-owner John Keegan.
