Ski-Doo re-ups with Warnert, sets full team lineupAt Haydays, Ski-Doo also announced who will race its MX Zx this season.
The biggest news was a new 3-year contract with Warnert Racing. BRP's Steve Cowing says, "Warnert Racing is one of our strongest partners both on and off the track." Warnert also added three new riders this year in the semi-pro and sport classes, so you can expect them to be a force on the WSA national snocross circuit. Pro riders include Mike Island, Tomi Ahmasalo, Steve Martin, and CW Sirjane in the Pro/Semi-Pro class. Semi-Pro's Jeff Arsenault, Buddy Rudy, and Jake Ericson round out an impressive squad.
Coming off an incredible season last year with Ski-Doo, Warnert believes it's poised to possibly have its best year ever.
In addition to signing Warnert, Ski-Doo also announced several other deals. The Blair Morgan Racing Team will be working the WSA Pro Open, Pro Stock, and Semi-Pro fields with Blair, Carl Kuster, and Steve Taylor as well as affiliate Willie Elam - all riding for BMRT.
Newcomer Kowalski Racing also is on board with Ski-Doo this year and will have three full-time riders; Trevor John, Jeff Gruhlke, and Scott Kowalski on the WSA National Circuit. Furthermore, BRP extended its ties with Lester Brothers Racing in the CSRA and will sponsor riders AJ Lester and Matt Turner.
Ski-Doo acknowledged riders on the drag racing and hillclimb scenes as well. Chris Anderson, Guy Breton, and Craig Marchbank have been competing for Ski-Doo at grass drag tracks around the country. Finally, leader of the hillclimb team, Mark Thompson, will return as the main veteran hillclimb man for Ski-Doo in the West this year.
