WHAT TO DO?If you have to have the newest and most race-like sled on the market, the new X-RS packages from Ski-Doo have that niche covered better than any other manufacturer this year. These are truly racing bred machines so if you are looking for a plush ride, these aren't for you.
After our pre-season Ski-Doo rides, our pick is the Freestyle Park 550. Lightweight and aimed at the economical and efficient market, this machine still rips and is more sled than many will give it credit for.
Ski-Doo now has a 4-stroke option as well for those die-hard Doo riders who want a 4-stroke, but want it in a Ski-Doo. The jury's still out on the handling of these 4-strokers, but look for rider reviews and reports in our fall Buyers Guide.
