skidoo announces major new production model

The Ski-Doo dealers have spoken and the powers that be have complied.
There will be Elite snowmobiles cruising the trails next winter. At this year's Club Bombardier dealers were polled as to whether they wanted to see the Elite concept vehicle converted to a production machine for sale in the fall. "Their response was so enthusiastic, we took orders before the meeting was over," said Ski-Doo Director of Marketing Jean-Francois Guertin.
The Elite uses a Rotax 1500cc inline triple four stroke powerplant. It will be the only side-by-side snowmobile on the market in 2004. Ski-Doo originally showed the Elite as a concept vehicle only, not a production sled. But with the demand shown by dealers and consumers, the decision was made to go forward with production. It will be priced at $17,999 and available in the fall.
