shootout set for september

Sure it's April, but September will roll around quicker than you might expect and we don't want you to miss our 18th Annual Super Sled Shoot-Out in Martin, Mich.

So mark your calendar now for this year's event, set for Sept. 22-23 at US 131 Dragway in Martin, just a stone's throw from Grand Rapids and Kalamazoo. Again this year we expect sleds from across North America (we covered Labrador to Wyoming last year!) to run in bracket races on the asphalt. It's a fun, action-packed weekend.

This year AmSnow again partners with the National Snowmobile Drag Race Association (NSDRA) and its sponsor, Torco Fuels. Jamie Bellman with NSDRA also is back as the race organizer.

Last year we had 168 registered sleds, a 71-sled bracket race, 5 paying races and a ton of fast-paced fun. Plus, a good group of motorcycles ran drag races between our events, so there always was action on the track.

More details will follow on the Web and in our Buyers Guide that comes out in August. But plan now to be in Martin, Mich., the weekend of Sept. 22-23. It'll be a blast!
