Do you like to take your snowmobile out on the lakes and rivers in the winter? If you do, you realize the dangers of thin ice. A new safety product is available now called Secure-A-Life to help in water related rescues.
Secure-A-Life is a rescue rope that is now used by some police and fire departments in their rescues. It has a self-locking throw line that can be deployed up to 100 ft. The device, once thrown to a victim who has fallen through the ice, can be secured around the wrist or arm by the victim. Once the rope is around their arm, the rescuer can pull the rope tight, which locks the rope on the victim so they can then be pulled to safety at a safe distance before hypothermia can set in.
The product has 4-years of testing and development behind it by Rich Stimpson, its creator. To find out more about this device and to get your own, visit
