scorpion recreational products announces rmi deal

 
Rumors had been swirling for the past couple of weeks, but Scorpion Recreational Products has announced that it has acquired the rights to produce, market and sell custom-built RMI mountain sleds. "This is a good fit for us," said SRP's John Mitchell. "Ron [Moring] will continue to do most of the advance development, design work and engineering on the mountain line under the auspices of RMI (Ron Moring Industries). But consumers will buy them through Scorpion."

Details about the sled and its availability are not available at this time, but will be released soon, according to Mitchell. We'd speculate that the RMI sled will carry the 890 Genesis twin engine, developed by PSI for Scorpion, as the stock powerplant, with consumer upgrade options to include PSI's 990 Genesis twin.
