savage on sleds racing rocks

Racing isn't the biggest part of the snowmobile world by a long shot. Trail riders and families in clubs across the U.S. and Canada still make up the bulk of riders, and there are millions of us.
But racing is a big part of the public face of snowmobiling once winter rolls around. Why? Because it's exciting and makes for great TV footage on the evening news. Nothin' wrong with that!
That's one reason we turn over a section of this issue each season to racing and also to the power-hungry Mod sleds out West. Power is king, queen and most of the court in the mountains. We know that, so our Mountain Team hooks up with some of the best wrenches and modifiers on the planet to see what all they have up their sleeves.
BUT, we know where our bread is buttered. There's plenty here this month for trail riders. Our Long Tracks comparo will help you find a solid choice for hitting the trails this season. We've got a question and answer session with Yamaha engineers to help you with your Blue Crew sleds and a travel story from Ontario about a group of trail-riding guys on their annual trip, a social gathering of sorts!
Racer or trail rider? Hey, we're all in it for the fun!
