Why do you love snowmobiling? It's an easy enough question, but I'll bet you can think of at least a dozen answers. Now's your chance to tell the world, at least the growing AmSnow Web world.

When we created our new Web site last fall we upgraded the video end of it. Lets face it, video is more popular these days than a Congress with billions of dollars to give away!

We post our own videos on AmSnow.com, some are part of our fall TV show and a few also come from our friends out West at BAM Film Productions. Well, a few weeks back the folks at ISMA (the manufacturers association) sent us a video touting the charms of snowmobiling. We'll call it their Snow Dance video (it's on our site) with a correographed family doing a routine about getting out and enjoying the winter weather on a sled.
Nice try!

We think YOU could do better. So we're throwing down the gauntlet, now that the snow is here.

We challenge YOU to create an awesome snowmobiling video, one that shouts, or screams, SNOWMOBILING, and why you love it.

You can sing, you can dance ... or you can just show us some of the trails and mountains you ride each season. But have a little fun with it and show the world why snowmobiling is such a blast, and why snowmobilers are so much fun to hang with.

Our contest is simple, just shoot your own video and submit it on our Web site.

Here's how: Click on the Multimedia button in the top bar. Click on User Submitted Videos - you can watch a few first if you want - then click on Submit a Video and all the instructions are right there.

Deadline: May 1, 2009

What's in it for YOU? Easy enough, you get the "honor and distinction" of having your video featured on AmSnow.com, as our Video of the Week. Plus we'll dig around the AmSnow Schwag Closet and send you some of your own AmSnow gear. Maybe we'll even give the runners-up a goodie. Depends on our mood!

Staff update: For those of you who call us, or contact us via the Web, we've got a new staff member that you may be talking too. Christie Green is our new editorial associate and replaces Julie Kuczynski who has moved to another magazine here at Kalmbach. Christie is a native of Rockford, Ill., and no stranger to snow!
