Judnick Motorsports arrived in Canada for the Ski-Doo Grand Prix de Valcourt with Semi-Pro Dylan Martin out for the season with a broken leg suffered a few weeks earlier and Pro Racer Matt Judnick plagued by a hand injury from Canterbury. But the team still had Ross Martin in its arsenal.
Unfortunately Ross suffered a shoulder dislocation not once, but twice in practice Sat., Feb. 16th. But a bound and determined Martin taped up tight headed back on the track. He made the Pro Super Stock Final through the last chance qualifier, meaning Ross had to start the final in the back row. Incredibly, the flag drops and Martin fights his way to bring home a third place podium.
Ross also came back on Sunday after icing and resting his shoulder overnight, broke out a brand new Polaris Mod snowmobile and won the Pro Open National Final! Ross took the lead in the first turn and led the entire 20 laps!
"After watching Ross out on the track on Sunday, I just knew. It was like Saturday's injury never happened. He was smooth as silk and I told Tom Rager Jr., we are going to win the Pro Open today and WE DID!" said Scott Judnick, Team Owner.
Judnick Motorsports is made up of Drivers - Ross Martin, Matt Judnick, Dylan Martin; Crew Members - Tom Rager Jr., Roger Faber, Tony Swiontek; Owners - Scott and Colleen Judnick.
Polaris racer Dennis Eckstrom (Scheuring Speed Sports) won the Pro Super Stock class, giving Polaris podiums in both classes. Polaris has a hold on the top four spots in the WPSA Pro Open and Super Stock points races with two races left on the schedule.
