rmxcrc announces 2001 high point champions

Amsnow
RMXCRC has a new Pro high points champion in snocross for the first time since the 1998 racing season. Arctic Cat rider Tuffy McDonald from Priest River, Idaho has unseated the defending and twice high point Pro champion, Brian Call. McDonald fulfilled a long time personal goal of winning a high points title in the RMXCRC. McDonald not only fulfilled that goal, he went on to capture all three Pro class titles as well as the combined high points title.

Semi-Pro saw three different drivers crowned for their efforts in '01. Ski-Doo pilots were tops in semi-pro 440 with Matt Ryan taking the title. Semi-Pro 600 had Tom Reopelle claiming the big prize. Arctic Cat got the hard fought win in semi-pro open as Utah rider Tyler Pulsipher pulled out the title.

The Sport classes saw almost a mirror finish as the semis for Ski-Doo and Arctic Cat. Ski-Doo won title with Willie Elam in Sport 440 and Sport Open. Arctic Cat got the nod in Sport 600 with Joe Zanetti at the helm.

Women's 600 again went to defending champion Shilah Brown. Brown, aboard the Ski-Doo won the title at the final regular season points event.
Masters class crowned a new champion for '01. Arctic Cat rider Bob Helming came on strong at mid season with three podium finishes to outlast a large field of contenders for the title.

Juniors 16-17 had another Arctic Cat rider in the #1 position. Jeff Snow claimed his first RMXCRC title to go with his NWSA and OSRC titles.

Juniors 14-15 with Colter Ingram, put himself and Polaris on the victory stand with early strong performances in this hotly-contested class of young riders.
