Kelly Shires, a Canadian snowmobiler and event organizer, passed away early in life from Breast Cancer, but her memory lives on. Her friends Alia Brown and Jody McKay made a promise to her that a ride like the one that she had started in Canada 7 years prior, would be brought to the US.

Kelly's struggle had ended but the ride went forward a few months later and was a success.

The Pink Ribbon Riders (PRR) was formed to promote awareness for breast cancer in the motor sports industry for both men and women while raising funds for those in need.

Arctic Cat has partnered up with the Pink Ribbon Riders to build a special edition pink F5 LXR sled retailing at $7,599 US. HMK Snowmobiling has also created a Ladies Cruiser boot to support this worthwhile cause and have a long sleeve T-shirt with the HMK logo and the Pink Ribbon Riders logo on it. A portion of the proceeds will be donated toward the cause as well.
