December 19, 2005 - The postponed WPSA Duluth National Snocross was finally wrapped up last weekend as part of the Michigan Snocross event at the Otsego Club and Resort in Gaylord. Mich.
The Duluth Pro-Stock final, which had been delayed by fog, was won by Mathieu Morin (Ski-Doo), while D.J. Eckstrom (Polaris) took home the Pro-Open title. Zach Pattyn (Arctic Cat) won the Semi-Pro Stock final and Jeff Snow (Arctic Cat) took the Semi-Pro Open crown. This AMSOIL-sponsored Duluth National race will air on ESPN2 on Jan. 30.
In the Michigan Snocross races, Steven Taylor (Ski-Doo) won the Pro-Open race and Levi Lavallee (Polaris) came out on top of the Pro-Stock field. Other winners included Sarah McQuestion (Ski-Doo) in the Pro-Women's class and Earl Reimer (Ski-Doo) in the Pro-Veteran race.
Aaron Christensen (Ski-Doo), Garth Kaufman (Arctic Cat), Ross Martin (Polaris) and Matthew Piche (Arctic Cat) also qualified to participate in the Winter X Games by winning invitational races at Gaylord.
