Expect to see a lot of Reima apparel in the upcoming season. The Finnish company recently signed on to sponsor Scheuring Speed Sports for the 2002/2003 racing season and the World Snowmobile Association for the next two seasons.
"We really like Reima's quality and being associated with the best in that business," said Steve Scheuring. "It's a winning relationship for both companies."
Scheuring's team consists of pro racers Justin Tate and D.J. Eckstrom. Last season, Tate finished fourth in Pro Stock and seventh in Pro Open. Eckstrom came in third at the Pro Stock Nationals and third in the Pro Open class.
As a platinum level sponsor for the World Snowmobile Association, reima will supply race staff with jackets, bibs, gloves and cargo bags. The sponsorship includes the national circuit and selected regional circuits.
"We see both extreme cold and mild weather in this business so we value the versatility of Reima's waterproof, breathable clothing," said Joe Duncan, association president.
Reima products are distributed throughout Canada and the United States.
