redline postpones release of sleds

 
Redline Snowmobiles announced yesterday, January 8, 2001 that it will be delaying the release of its production snowmobile units until later this season.

"Our original goal was to have our first inventory in the field prior to December 31, 2000, however, certain choices and subsequent delays have made that goal unrealistic," said Kent Harle, president of Redline Performance Products. "The most important commitment we have made since day one to ourselves, our dealers, and to every consumer was that our machines would be built right the first time and we will not compromsie that commitment for any reason. That commitment is far more important than any self-set delivery schedule."

After consulting with its dealers, Redline is releasing its customers from their purchase obligations and refunding all deposits received under the Team Redline initiative. Team Redline members will still receive their Redline jackets and all Redline customers will maintain a priority delivery position when units become available.
