Yes, the rumors are true! A group of local Fargo, N.D. investors have taken on the responsibility of resurrecting Redline snowmobiles from a shallow bankruptcy grave and putting the company back in the snow business.
Almost exactly two years ago the original Redline Performance Products Inc. filed bankruptcy after months of blaming poor profitability on supplier issues, lack of a dealer network, funding and other problems. The new overseer of the Redline name is Redline Holdings LLC. The new group bought all the physical assets and intellectual property from the previous company including inventory, tooling, copyrights, patents, trademarks and parts.
"We've put together a group of young, motivated people from the industry including people from Yamaha, Polaris, and DaimlerChrysler, to work on our product," said Scot Taylor, Redline's director of marketing and sales. "We are new from the ground up and our investors are dedicated to making this work."
Taylor said that a news release most likely will come out next week some time. So you've only got a few days left to wonder and gossip about what the scoop is on the future of this once ill-fated snowmobile company. Keep watching our website for up-to-date info or visit Redline's new site at
