redline appoints harley guy to board of directors

The man some say was a primary architect of the marketing strategy that helped guide Harley-Davidson, Inc. from the verge of bankruptcy to one of the most successful companies and well-known brands in the world has been named to Redline's Board of Directors as it increases to six members.
Sixty-one year-old Clyde Fessler brings more than 30 years of business development and marketing experience to Redline's Board of Directors.
He has held positions of increasing responsibility throughout his 25-year career at Harley-Davidson, which began in 1977 (after a stint at the old Arctic Enterprises) and ended with his retirement in 2002.
Fessler served in a variety of positions at Harley-Davidson, including:
Advertising and Promotions Manager, where he authored the "close to the customer" business philosophy;
Director of Marketing, where he developed a brand strategy that has endured for over 20 years and enabled Harley-Davidson to be inducted into the Marketing Hall of Fame;
Director of Licensing, where he established a new business that expanded the brand;
Vice President/Managing Director of Europe, where he led the development of a 10-year strategic plan;
Vice President of General Merchandise, where he established a new apparel business that won awards from the Fashion Design Council of America; and Vice President of Business Development, where he authored the company's mission statement of "We Fulfill Dreams" and spearheaded the development of several new businesses.
No stranger to the snowmobile industry, he served from 1972-1974 as Sales Promotion Manager for Arctic Enterprises, Inc.
